View a 3D shape from the front and you get a 2D silhouette. We turn that silhouette into a vase-mode 3D print (e.g. a can of soda becomes a tubular shape).
Choose input
Create the vase profile from a photo (camera) or by drawing it (finger).
1. Take a picture
Capture or upload a front-on photo of the object. The outline you select will become the vase shape.
2. Select the object
Click on the object in the image to select it. Then refine: click Add and click on the image to include more, or Remove and click to deselect. The red line is the vase outline.
Draw your profile
Draw the half-profile on the left (right side mirrors). Canvas is to scale; only the area inside the box is used. Bottom of the doodle = flat on the bed (Z0); top = Z+.
3. Printer & vase settings
Defaults from Creality Ender-3 V3 KE / Sample.gcode. Expand a section to edit.

Layers and perimeters
Speed
Speed = max volumetric ÷ (line width × layer height). First layer uses first layer height, so it prints slower automatically.
